Temporary Prosthesis

Anyone who needs a temporary solution to replace lost teeth can be treated with two types of dental prosthesis: total or partial. The first type is the one that will replace all of the individual's teeth while he cannot undergo implant treatment, for example.
In the provisional partial denture, the principle is the same, except that the patient has remaining teeth. She makes the temporary replacement of those that were lost while the person is treating some oral disease, as in the case of periodontitis.
Temporary prostheses have a simpler structure and generally do not use materials with high durability because they are just a transitional treatment. In this way, its cost is lower for the patient, but the functionality and aesthetics are satisfactory.
